1. What SpeakSee does
SpeakSee is a real-time audio translation service. It listens to audio through your device's microphone, transcribes it, translates it into your chosen language, and displays the result as subtitles on your screen.
SpeakSee is designed for use in situations where audio plays externally — a television, a lecture, a tour guide, a presentation — and the user places their device near the audio source.
2. What SpeakSee does not do
- SpeakSee does not record audio. Audio is processed in real time and immediately discarded.
- SpeakSee does not store transcripts or translations linked to any individual.
- SpeakSee does not identify speakers or store voice data.
- SpeakSee does not work as a recording tool for any person, meeting, or conversation.

All prices include VAT where applicable. The published price is the final price — no hidden fees.
Fair use: Users on the 1 Month or 1 Year plan may use SpeakSee for up to 90 minutes per day. This limit resets at midnight. It exists to keep the service sustainable for all users. Users who consistently exceed this limit may be contacted.
4. No refund policy
All purchases are final. SpeakSee does not offer refunds for any purchase, once payment has been processed.
This policy exists because SpeakSee is a digital service that is made available immediately upon payment. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has been made available and consumption has begun, provided the consumer has given prior consent.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted this no-refund policy and that you consent to immediate access to the digital service, waiving your right of withdrawal.

5. Renewal
Monthly and Annual plans are one-time payments, not subscriptions. There is no auto-renewal and no recurring charge. Access expires automatically at the end of the paid period (30 days for Monthly, 366 days for Annual). To continue using SpeakSee after that, simply purchase again — nothing is charged automatically and there is nothing to cancel.
6. Privacy
SpeakSee does not collect personal data and does not create user accounts. Audio is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded or stored.
To produce translations, the transcribed text is sent to DeepL, a third-party translation provider, for processing. SpeakSee does not store this text after the translation is returned. DeepL's own data handling is governed by their privacy policy, available at deepl.com/privacy. We are currently using DeepL's free API tier; if you have concerns about this, please contact us.
SpeakSee uses Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions. We do not store your card details.
7. Availability and limitations
SpeakSee requires an internet connection. Translation quality depends on the quality of the audio signal. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers or network issues.
SpeakSee works best with a single clear speaker. Performance is significantly reduced in noisy environments or when multiple people speak simultaneously. It is not designed for live transcription of television entertainment, music, or overlapping dialogue. These are known limitations of the technology and are not covered by any refund policy.
8. Cookies
SpeakSee does not use tracking cookies. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which may use cookies on its own checkout pages in accordance with Stripe's privacy policy.
