1. What SpeakSee does
SpeakSee is a real-time audio translation service. It listens to audio through your device's microphone, transcribes it, translates it into your chosen language, and displays the result as subtitles on your screen.
SpeakSee is designed for use in situations where audio plays externally — a television, a lecture, a tour guide, a presentation — and the user places their device near the audio source.
2. What SpeakSee does not do
- SpeakSee does not record audio. Audio is processed in real time and immediately discarded.
- SpeakSee does not store transcripts or translations linked to any individual.
- SpeakSee does not identify speakers or store voice data.
- SpeakSee does not work as a recording tool for any person, meeting, or conversation.
3. Pricing

All prices include VAT where applicable. The published price is the final price — no hidden fees.
Minute packages are priced at €1.99 per 30-minute pack. You can purchase multiple packs in a single transaction. There is no discount for buying in bulk — each pack costs the same.
Fair use: Monthly and Annual subscribers may use SpeakSee for up to 15 hours per calendar month. Users who consistently exceed this limit may be contacted and asked to move to a minute-based plan. This threshold exists to protect pricing for all users and is rarely reached in normal use.
4. No refund policy
All purchases are final. SpeakSee does not offer refunds for any subscription or minute package purchase, once payment has been processed.
This policy exists because SpeakSee is a digital service that is made available immediately upon payment. Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has been made available and consumption has begun, provided the consumer has given prior consent.
By completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read and accepted this no-refund policy and that you consent to immediate access to the digital service, waiving your right of withdrawal.

5. Subscription management
Monthly and Annual subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time through your payment confirmation email or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
6. Privacy
SpeakSee does not collect personal data in the course of translation. Audio is processed in real time and not retained. Anonymous translation pairs — text in one language and its translation — may be retained to improve accuracy over time. These contain no identifying information.
SpeakSee uses Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment transactions. We do not store your card details.
7. Availability
SpeakSee requires an internet connection. Translation quality depends on the quality of the audio signal. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability and are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party providers (OpenAI, DeepL) or network issues.
